‎ Streamline Direction

 

Based on the chosen seed points, users have three options for the direction of the streamlines:

  • Forward and Backward (default option) - sets the streamlines to be both forward in the flow (downstream of the seed points) and backwards of the flow (upstream of the seed points)

  • Forward Only - sets the streamlines to display only downstream from the seed points

  • Backward Only - sets the streamlines to display only upstream from the seed points

 

From the Tutorial 1 save file, the figures below are of a preview of streamlines indicating the three varying directions. Although the seed points are not explicitly shown the forward and backward option edges indicate the location of the seed points. You can turn on the visibility of an already defined streamline's seed points in its properties panel.
