Tutorial 21 - in:Flux Cloud
This tutorial will re-run the Tutorial 12 - Risk Based Gas Mapping project using in:Flux Cloud. This feature gives an alternative option for computing simulations which does not require local hardware, which offloads the work of running cases locally or managing ifx:Solve and solver files. The tutorial will walk through how in:Flux Cloud is fully integrated into the main in:Flux interface allowing for defined simulations to be selected to run in the cloud, watch as cases are completed and then download results upon completion.
in:Flux Cloud is only available with in:Flux v4.0 and later (released June 26, 2025). To run cases with in:Flux Cloud, credits are required. Cloud Credits are issued to an existing in:Flux license. One credit allows for one simulation to be calculated, which avoids the typical difficulty of budgeting for CPU hours.
You may follow this tutorial using in:Flux Cloud in the same way for any in:Flux project - fire modeling, helideck turbulence, internal ventilation assessments, etc. are all available project types.
In this tutorial you will learn how to:
-
Reset simulations in an existing in:Flux project
-
Add Simulations to in:Flux Cloud via the Cloud Manager
-
View progress of cloud simulations
-
View post-processing visuals and monitors with Cloud Data
-
Update project data (monitors and risk data sets) using in:Flux Cloud
